The true nature of the Brahman is hidden inside a golden
vessel. (The golden vessel is symbol for the distractions of the material
world.) O Pusha! (Pusha is a manifestation of the sun-god.)
Please open up for
us the natures of the Brahman. You are the sun-god; you are the son of
prajapati. Please restrain your rays and your energy. Display to us the form
that brings us welfare. May we known the Brahman, may we know that we are the Brahman.
May we merge into the life force and become immortal. The dust of this body
will become ashes through the fire. But O Agni! Remember us and remember the
good deeds we have performed. May we take the path that will lead us to the
fruits of our action. You are the learned one. Banish all sin from our hearts.
We bow in obeisance before you.
