There were two birds which lived on the same tree. They were always together and they had the same names. One of the birds ate the sweet fruit of the tree. The other bird did not eat the fruit of the tree. It merely saw.
(The two birds are the Atman and the Brahman. The Atman savors the fruit of life, but the Brahman does not.)
Living beings get addicted to tree (life) and suffer. They worry and are miserable. The Brahman is revered by many. When living beings realize the glory of the Brahman, they overcome all misery.
