Only Brahman

Agni became the organ of speech and entered the mouth. Vayu became the organ of smell and entered the nose. Surya became the organ of sight and entered the eyes. The gods of the directions became the organs of hearing and entered the ears. the herbs and the trees became organs of touch and entered the skin. The moon entered the heart and the god of death entered the navel.

Hunger and thirst asked the brahman, "What about us? What will happen to us?"

"You will live in the bodies of the gods," replied the Brahman. "Whenever oblations are offered to the gods, you will receive a share."

OUM Word

The word oum is know as pranava. Oum symbolises all hymns, the sun utters oum as it traverse the sky. Many years ago, the sage koushitaki worshiped oum and obtained a son. He advised his son to worship oum so that he might have many sons. The breath of life utters oum as it course through the body. he who realises the wonderful nature of oum, obtains all the objects of his desire.

Brahman Controls Everything

Ignorance leads to worldly ties and wisdom leads to immortality. Both ignorance and wisdom are created by the Brahman, but the Brahman himself is neither wisdom nor ignorance. He controls everything. He controls all forms and their origins. At the time of creation, he instilled his wisdom in Hiranyagarbha, the creator. But he is himself neither wisdom nor ignorance.

He is cause and effect. he is the web of illusion in which all living beings are immersed. he created all the senses, but he is above them all. The sun radiates light in all the directions. like that, the rays of illusion emanate out of the Brahman. The Origin of the universe instils qualities in all objects. He controls the destinies of all objects.

Merge into the immortal worlds

When a learned person dies, he merge with the wind. The wind makes a hole for him, like the hole in the axle of a chariot. Through this hole, the learned person ascends upwards and merges with the sun. The sun makes a hole for him. Through this hole, the learned person ascends upwards and merges with the moon. The moon makes a hole for him. Through this hole, the learned person ascends upwards and merge into the immortal worlds. he lives there for many years.

Brahman Merge Into Me

May I be famous among men. May I be richer than the richest. May I merge into the essence of the Brahman. May the Brahman merge into me. May all my sins be cleansed by the touch of the Brahman. O Brahman! The rivers flow downwards into plains. The months disappear into the year. May celibate mendicants come to me from all the directions. O Brahman! You are the refuge of everthing. make yourself manifest to me. may I become a part of you.

Living Beings

Bees make honey and in the process, collect nectr from various trees. Once the honey has been made, it is impossible to distinguish what part of the honey came from which tree. Once one realise the truth, it is impossible to distinguish oneself from the Brahman. Living beings sleep. And when they awake, they continue to be the species they were before falling asleep. But in the stte of sushupti, all living beings are one with the Brahman.

Brahman Holds up the Universe

All objects, transient and in-transient, are the Brahman. He holds up the universe. It is he who adopts the forms of living beings and becomes bound by the material world. But it is also he who frees himself from this bondage. In his various forms, the brahman is wise and ignorant, lord and master. He who realise that everything is the brahman, attains salvation. The Brahman is constant and immortal. Once one realises, "I am the Brahman". One is unified with the Brahman and is freed from the illusions of the world.

Atman Merge into the Brahman

Those who know the nature of the Brahman, are satisfied with nothing short of true learning. Their Atman merge into the Brahman. they control their sense and become devoid of desire. As long as they are alive, such calm and cool individuals see the Brahman in all the objects that are around them.

The knowledge of the Vedanta is knowledge of the Brahman. Asceticism helps to purify the mind. Salvation is attained by those who purify their minds and realize the Brahman. Such individuals attain salvation even before they die.
