Seven God Serve The Breath

Seven god serve the breath of life. Rudra is present in the red lines around the pupils of the eyes. Parjanya is present in the water of the eyes. Aditya is present in the pupils, Agni in the black parts of the eyes, and Indra in the white parts. The goddess earth is present in the lower eyelashes and the god of heaven is present in the upper eyelashes. These seven gods thus serve the breath of life. He who knows this, never suffers from a shortage of foodgrains.

Breath of Life

"The breath of life is superior to hope," "Everything is sustained because of the breath of life. The breath of life is father, a mother, a brother, a sister, a teacher and a Brahmana. If one kills a father, a mother, a brother, a sister, a teacher, or a Brahmana, one will be looked upon as a cruel murderer. But if one strikes their dead bodies with a weapon, one will not be called a murderer. The breath of life is everything. The breath of life is truth."

Knowledge Is Superior

"Knowledge is superior to meditation." "It is due to knowledge that the Rig Veda, the Yajur Veda, the Sama Veda, the Atharva Veda, history, the Puranas, grammar, funeral rites, mathematics, astrology, horology, debating, ethics, grammar, prosody, astronomy, singing, dancing, the earth, the wind, the sky, the water, energy, the gods, men, animals, birds, herbs, trees, insects, good deeds, evil deeds, truth, untruth, the beautiful and the ugly can be comprehended. Worship knowledge. He who worships knowledge as the Brahman, attains the best of the worlds. He can go wherever he wants."

Gods Bring Gifts

Mahah is the syllable OUM. It is due to OUM that all the Vedas attain their power. Different types of the breath of life are bhuh, bhuvah and svar. Mahah is the foodgrains, it is beacause of foodgrains that life is sustained. Each of the fiur mantras is further subdivided into four mantras. (There are thus sixteen mantras in all.) He who utters these mantras, attains the brahman. All the gods bring gifts to a person who has attained the brahman.

Essence of the Brahman

The Brahman cannot be realised through speech, the mind or the eyes. Those who believe in the Brahman say that he exists. There are atheists who do not believe in the existence of the Brahman. How can the Brahman become manifest to such atheists?

The essence of the Brahman can only be felt if it is believed that he exists. When the Brahman is felt to exit, his radiance shines forth.

Knowledge of the Brahman

The sun is the mead of the elements, the elements are the mead of the sun. The immortal and energetic being who is in the sun is also mead. The immortal and energetic being who is in the body is also mead. This knowledge confers immortality. This knowledge of the Brahman is everything.

Brahman Origin of All Life

I am the origin of the world and all life. My fame is as lofty as the peak of a mountain. I owe my origin to the Brahman. There is immortality in the sun and I am part of that immortality. I am bliss. I am the wealth that is the radiant Brahman. I am wisdom. I am immortal and eternal. These were the words of the sage Trishanku, who became learned in the nature of the Brahman.

Brahman Manifest to Such People

The Brahman cannot be appreciated by studing the Vedas. He cannot be appreciated by listening to the ecitals of sacred texts. The Brahman cannot be imagined. He reveals himself to those who are blesses. the Brahman becomes manifest to such people.

Everything is the Brahman. The atman is the Brahman. the atman is the way to attain the Brahman.

Brahman Rules Over The Souls

The brahman rules over the souls of all living beings. The brahman is one, but he divides himself into many forms. Learned ones can realise the brahman through wise teachers. Such learned ones are truly happy. No one else can be happy.
The brahman is the eternal cause of all transient objects. He is the consciousness of sentient beings. The brahman is unique. but he decrees the actions of many living beings. Learned ones can realise the brahman through wise teachers. Such learned ones are truly Happy. No one else can be happy.

Brahman Protect Us

May my speech be established in my mind. May my mind be established in my speech. O brahman! You manifest yourself. Make yourself manifest to me. Bring to me the knowledge of the Vedas. May the wisdom that I have heard not desert me. May I be able to unite night and day through what I learn. I will think the truth. I will speak the truth. May the brahman protect me, and may the brahman protect my teacher. May I be prtected, and may my teacher be protected. Let there be peace. Let there be peace. Let there be
 peace.
